In Buddhism there is a beautiful practice before meditation to develop the motivation that our practice may be of benefit to all beings. This is something that can be done before any activity; Yoga Practice, lovemaking, starting your workday, time in nature, anything, and brings a sense of purpose that our lives and actions can benefit all. Here is one of my favorites.
